dumb location

I am thinking real serious about moving my air pumps for my stock lockers up and under the hood. the last time out I bashed the skid plate very close to the pumps, another 1/2 " and they would have been crushed. What a dumb place for Chrysler to installed them. It can't be too involved, nice wintersday project. Any advice?? thanks....

I relocated my pumps under the hood to the ABS tray. It was several years ago but if I remember correctly I cut the wires to the pumps before the plugs on the pumps. I then spliced in some wiring and routed it up to the tray. I also had to get some hose for the air line to the rear locker. You can either replace the whole line or splice in the extra length needed. They make plastic pieces to splice the air line. I also routed the air intake for the pumps into the cab so they draw cleaner air.

cool,, can it be done in a few hours? I fIgured some-one out there has done it, it is just the "good sense" thing to do, and it can't possibly cost very much. some hose some wire. You mounted them on the pan below the master cylinder?
